Ive had no problems with FM Reception, sounds like the garage could not diagnose the problem so tried to blame you for having the windows tinted. Annoying thing is these tints should have been offerd as a factory fit option long ago,

Volvo now offer dark tinted windows on XC90 XC60 XC70 & V70 but still not on the V50.

Yep, when I finally regained my composure after losing it with them big time, I vowed on the spot never to go back and have stuck to my word.

Only happened on Radion 4 and was very variable.

If you've got Prologic highline ICE try Radio 4, with the Pro on, then plug a phone charger and phone or sat nav charger into the rear 12v outlet and see if you can hear a difference. Be interested to hear your thoughts.

Has anyone got their windows tinted and has the auto-dim rear view mirror installed please? Having the tints does this affect the auto-dim mirror as the tints won’t let in enough light to trigger the auto-dim if someone has high beam on or iffy lights?

There is no way a tint could affect radio reception unles it contains a lot of metal.

Mine has the Auto Dip rear view mirror and the window tints do not effect the auto dip at all, white head lamps at a distance and strange darker looking lights at close range the same as with not having the tints.

Dude! Seriously???

I'm sure if you read back your post you'll see the error of your ways??

The tints, if dark enough may well effect the Auto Dim but due to the tints you will not be dazzled??

If the tints are not dark enough and then the Duto Dim will still activate thus everything as normal??

No I know it’s a bit of a contradiction. I knew this before I posted but wanted to make sure as I don’t plan on going too dark but I don’t know what the tolerance is of the sensor in the auto-dim. Hence the question....

my local tinting company does it for £150 including the sides!
Another member had his done and was rather impressed.
If anyone is interested and lives near Bristol, I'll recommend them.
