I remember reading What Car in early December and the reviewer telling us that a particular new car would be available BY THE END OF THE YEAR! Impossible, I thought - then realised I was reading the FEBRUARY 2014 issue of the mag!

- Coat hook on head rest deleted
• Vehicle price changes;

- D5 AWD 215hp no price change
- T6 AWD no price change
- Nav variants keep the current £1,200 premium
• Option changes;
- Sensus Connect with Premium Sound by Harman Kardon £1,000
- New Piano Black Wood deco option £225
- Volvo On Call reduced to £450
- Power Blue introduced as exterior colour

Nice to see a price reduced....wonder if any features have been reduced!
So that is £450 for the 3 year package, right?
Does that make future renewals likely to be £150 pa? (Can't find any add-on pricing anywhere!)

Can you negotiate a reduction if breakdown cover is removed? I love the idea of it for the tracking, I like the thought of warming the car up from the house via a phone app (android works as well as iPhone, right?) but we already have breakdown cover....
.....suddenly makes it a tad expensive for the reduced features (which was why we held off adding £550 to the order!).

Like the driver support pack, I suspect Volvo deliberately bundle it up to avoid cherry picking the more desirable features

Mike, I don't think you can do that on a UK spec car, as it relies on fitting a diesel heater and the UK doesn't get that option. When I looked into this, remote warming had two options - Engine Remote Start which needs a petrol automatic, or pre-heat via VOC which needs the diesel heater. Since we don't get the option of a diesel heater and I can't imagine many petrol autos are sold, the UK dwellers just need to make do with heated seats, wheel and screen as far as I can tell....

If I remember correctly, only if it's on a public road. So in your own driveway is fine.
