now on gumtree uk for £1750, a few enquiries but no one has come to see it yet, if the guy who offered me £1300 last week can get back in touch, we might be able to meet in the middle somewhere, (sorry , i cant find your number)

yes, it would be easier if you had a doner car to take all the bits off,
p/s rack, pump,resevoir, brackets and pipes required. |

Yes, as stated above, not too difficult with a donor car.
However, don't assume that it definitely needs it. I drove Steve's 1980 244 with no PAS and the steering was lighter than I expected, not excessively heavy when parking, and the steering feel when driving is great, much nicer than the PAS set-up. So I'd say try it first, especially if you're not planning to fit wider tyres. Another option is to fit electric power steering to the column, which might keep more steering feel and lighten up parking. 140 kits are available, which I'm sure could be adpated, or a much cheaper route (which lots of classic rally people do) is to take the parts from a scrapyard Corsa, Punto, Peugeot etc and make them fit. An internet search will give info if you're interested in this. John |

if folk really want the car and actually have the cash to buy it they will travel to buy you will find the folk who say oh your too far away have no cash and will just waste your time

i forgot to say, it has a two way switch on the dash that raises/lowers the back suspension. dont know if it was an option or do all estates have it ?
