Yes you can. The problem is accessing the fuse box. The most appropriate one is hidden behind the carpet in the front passenger foot well. Hence the solution I came across in the thread I referenced above.

I had my camera fitted professional and they picked up the live feed from the back of power socket in central storage department.

Or you can ignore the fusebox and use the OBD port. Amazon have an OBD plug for about £11 with a USB output and a switch that lets you set it for permanently on or on/off with the ignition. I have just bought one but I must admit that I haven't had time to fit it yet!

Is there enough room underneath the passenger seat of a 2019 XC60 for a Cellink Battery B?

Update: I paid my local auto electrician £210 to install it. They did a great job.
Front camera mounted high up near rear view mirror as it should be. Records perfectly without interfering with existing onboard safety systems. Cellink Battery B mounted within a space inside a boot panel. This is a lease car so it will all be ripped out again in 18 months' time.

It's set to activate with the ignition rather than have power on 24/7. My dashcam has an internal battery too. Camera came in useful when a lorry hit me on a single track road, it proved The third party was liable. Initially the claim went 50/50 but after footage I had my full excess refunded. |

I find it strange that car manufacturers don’t offer a front camera as an open. Especially Volvo when there’s such massive bit of gubbins behind the rear view mirror.

In the end, we went to Kits-n-Bits, our local auto-electric specialists in Barry, to install the front and rear dash cams that we bought on Amazon into our two-year lease vehicle.
They were absolutely excellent and we would recommend them in a heartbeat. I did chuckle when they said that Volvos are a particular pain for installation. They fitted all the cabling through the headlining and the Cellink-B backup battery pack behind a panel in the boot. All fitted better than I ever could have. The charge for installation was £210 and they quoted around £100 to remove it next year before we hand back the vehicle to the leasing company. Personally, I cannot understand why anyone would drive a new car without front and rear dash cams installed. It beggars belief that manufacturers still do not fit them as standard.

Dash Cam Not Recommended by Volvo Australia
Good Afternoon Mr.*XXXXXXX,
Thank you for contacting Volvo Car Australia. In relation to Dash Cameras, it is strongly suggested that a Dashcam must not be fitted to our range of vehicles as they are known to interfere with the Intellisafe and City Safety Cameras and Radars.* This is primarily the reason why Dash Cameras are not included in the list of accessories for our vehicles. We are also unable to recommend a Dash Camera to be fitted and advise that the installation would be at the risk of the owner. Kind Regards, XXXXX.
