There's some excellent retrofitting info here:
http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthr...o-Thread-Index

I had no idea that the new shifter was retrofittable.... and that there's a polestar badged version....

I might be in trouble.

Another retrofit that looks doable is to put the new LED indicator wing mirrors on - It might be that all that is needed is a mirror cover and the LED strip (and possibly a resistor to fool the system). It might need more, I'm not sure...

I hadn't realised the wing mirror indicators had changed. Will have to have a look.

Default Retrofit pop up sat nav, Phase 3 car

I have managed to acquire a pop up sat nav unit (scrap yard were only supposed to send the blanking panel for the top of the dash!) Is it possible to retrofit these to a base model car (V70 D5 ex police) or what or other bits and pieces will be required to make it work? Looks like it has 2 multi pin connectors and 2 aerial connections.

I should imagine the wiring looms are already there, however you will need the disk reader for the boot, your nav is just the screen not the computer (goes under the boot floor on the left side), probably need Volvo to tell the car its there, and you will need the steering wheel with the the joystick on it and/or the remote. some other cars have them like the mazda, might be cheaper to find parts from them.

Well done for finding a scrap yard, I couldnt find one that had any parts for mine. Who did you use?

I found an ebay breaker, fabdirect (also go as bmdevils) they have several ex police v70's in for breaking although the are mainly BMW specialists. Not cheap but then none of them are now.
