Perhaps a kind soul from the forum with 17's (or 18's even) would be willing to meet up and take you for a spin in their motor and let you see what it's like in their car?

Well this is a true measure of how good the human race can be. I have a mate with a sports lux with them on, so i can jot around in his for a miles. See if the sports suspension makes any difference to the cars handling. I mean apart fromt the suspension nothing is different within a s40 Phase 1 and a sports i think.

I will post a picture and keep you updated on the progress of everything.

Again thanks for the offer, i may take it up still if things are wierd in the long run.

Last night i drove to Liverpool from Oxford to get my Arcadias for a bargain price. As not to cause confusion by this post, i will explain how or why and when. This post is based on my car having my friends set of Arcadias on it for a while. My thread was started on the date i won the wheels on ebay, knowing how my mates set were on my car i got worried and thought "christ i have a set but, i am going to die". I got my wheels off ebay from a T4 that had been burnt out, i offered £250 notes to the guy thinking i was never going to win, but i did, and better than that the guy said "give me £175!!!".

They are spanking almost new condition with Dunlop sports tryes with tread on. Only one wheel has a visible mark. What a investment. If people want a set of these bad boys always check ebay for volvo s40 breaking or salvage in the search.

Still the problem may persist that this thread was talking about and i will keep everyone posted, my mate reckons that possibly his tyres were "dump" as mine are Dunlop. So i am going to strap them on today at some point and then see what happens..... Fingers Crossed.

I did not get home till 2am last night, picked them up from Toxteth. Left Oxford at 7pm.

Sure they weren't knicked if they're form Toxteth lol and yes i'm allowed to take the mick out of Liverpool as I am indeed a scouser myself
