Default Motronic

PS - what else would I need to do to put that Motronic to good use and is it likely to bust my skinny rods?

Hello,

No, the silicone hoses and t-piece are from between the turbo outlet (52mm) and an upgraded intercooler.

Regarding the ECU, I can't really tell you anything more than what I originally wrote before:

Running more than about 11psi with the stock chip triggers the fuel cut, as the air meter flap is opening wider than its predetermined mapped settings in relation to engine speed and load. The BSR chip removes this limit, as well as slightly revising the fuel and ignition maps.

Chesh740R is the guy to talk to about Motronic really, as he played about with it and ran different chips, etc.

More stuff for sale:

AEM Wideband Failsafe Gauge. The blurb from the offcial AEM website can describe it better than me:

Quote:
Wideband Air/Fuel and Boost in One Gauge!

The Wideband FAILSAFE Gauge provides the ability to accurately tune AFR, while actively protecting your engine by constantly monitoring AFR curves and activating a user-defined failsafe strategy if it runs lean.

The Wideband FAILSAFE Gauge is a Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen (UEGO—“you-way-go”) controller with an internal boost sensor, an internal data logger and a full color Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display. It includes technology to activate a failsafe strategy in the event AFR falls outside of a user-defined operating window. If the AFR falls outside of the set operating window, the Wideband FAILSAFE Gauge triggers a user defined output function that can save an engine from catastrophic damage.
It is in great condition. No scratches or marks on the gauge face and the harness has not been cut, includes 2 metres of silicone hose, USB cable, and 3 different face plates as well. It was only in my car for about 1000 miles (on unleaded) so the oxygen sensor is basically as new. Cost £230 from Summit in America, would like £160 posted.

940 Outside Air Temperature display, sensor, and 8 spare bulbs. White connector. £35 posted.Sold

Complete set of genuine wheel nuts and locking nuts/key, a couple of marks but they polished up quite nicely and are very presentable. £20 posted.

940 genuine removable towbar with single electric socket (+2 keys). Is this a heavy duty one? It says 1900kg max towing weight. Was fitted to my car in 2008 at a cost of £650! Would like £45.

Here it is fitted and picture of what it looks like without:

If you haven't got one of these you should buy it at this price. It is one of the most occasionally useful pieces of kit I have used over many years (to many to say!!).

It allows you to pressure bleed brakes, without the assistance of a helper, by filling a separate reservoir bottle with hydraulic fluid, and connecting it to the top of the master reservoir; being pressurised via the spare tyre.

Just a bump to add these 15x7" deep dish alloy wheels that I listed in the 200 sales secton.

http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=184924

I could 'deliver' them to the Retro Rides Gathering if you're going to that.
