It's actually dead easy to calibrate for front parking.

Get the wife to stand somewhere so you can get used to stopping at a certain distance. If you hear a scream, or a series of expletives (depending on how posh you are), you have misjudged it.

Surely this will depend on how 'large' your wife is.........

It's only the front bit that counts!

Yes, you're right. Got the wrong end of the stick. Not the first time to be honest....

Depends where you park I guess ;-) I wasn't that bothered by them when I had a test drive but I'm pleased I've got them. I only got them since the car park at work caters for a small % of the occupancy so parking is a nightmare. Any free space and I mean almost any, someone parks in it. It is rather amusing watching those going home havng to ask 3 others to move cars since they double park, park on corners etc.

My colleague on the other hand has had them on the back of his Merc and still managed to reverse into at least 3 different obstacles, I always think that he'd have been better off saving the money and putting it towards the repairs!
Some people do overly rely on them and forget they are not perfect.

Depends on your definition of "misjudged"!

Default heat-reflecting windscreen

I am wondering if heat-reflecting windscreen is worth additional costs (it is an option).
I have never had a such windscreen before, so I have no experience.
Is it really works in a summer time?
In Owner Manual I read that it may affect function of electronic equipment and of course it will be more expensive in case of replacement.
What do you think, to order a such heat-reflecting windscreen or it is worthwhile.

I suggest that this is one for the Australian members to comment upon - never been hot enough in the UK for me to see what this would be for

Nah, don't bother spending extra money, just turn up the air a notch.
