so whats the verdict? obviously the maidchanics are a winner but what about the oil? can we trust tescos are selling fresh normal specification castrol oils?

i have eight litres on its way to me from a supplier but i'm tempted to get six litres from tesco and keep it till the next oil change.

i'm thinking castrol wouldn't use their branding on anything substandard.

There is no way Tescos are selling a different version of Magnetec and the date of manufacture is on the container. Modern oils last a very long time with a shelf life of between 3 to 5 years. Even after that the chances of old oil in an unopened bottle causing a problem are close to nil, although some additives do settle to the bottom.
I would be more careful on Fleabay, although Castrol are now sealing the bottle tops to prevent decanting scams.
