Is there a reason for swapping the header tank? I found that the original setup including washer bottle worked fine on my B230FT fit

To be truthful no, I just think the 240 looks a bit big
Any chance of some photos of water pipework that goes to & from the turbo ?

Set off very early this morning on a 4 hour drive to collect the 940 lpt engine/gearbox that I won on ebay. Once getting back home I went through the boxes that came with the engine.
In the boxes there was 4 new brake discs, complete set of brake pads, new water pump and a new oil filter. The engine came with the wiring loom and ecu`s, the only problem i have is the rear gearbox mount. Do I use this one or do I need a 940 one ?

That looks like it has come out of a 240? The mount looks like it was designed to counteract the angled engine mounts of a 240, which the 940 one doesn't. If it fits use it.

It's a 240 mount with a 30mm thick bit of steel bolted to.
It deforms the rubber bush when it is bolted up and it weighs a ton I'm going to see if I can modify the 240 mount to take a 940 rubber bush.

Replace the solid lump with a bit of box section.

You can. That's what I did when I fitted my T5. Used a 240 crossmember and a 940 mount.

As the weekend looks like it could be a bit wet I thought I`d make a start on swapping over the B21A engine/box for the B230FK engine/box. After about a hour or so the engine/box was ready to be fitted out, had to cut the exhaust downpipe due to the bolts being to rusty and cut the speedo cable as it was seized to the gearbox.
Once it was lifted out the cross member/steering rack was de-greaseed and washed off with a power washer. The B230FK was lifted in and bolted up on the engine mounts will have too fabricate a rear gearbox mount out of the old mount.

Todays job was to take the cam shaft and aux shaft out of the B21A and fit them into the B230FK, the cam shaft went with out any problems but the aux shaft was a PITA. I tried everything to lift the oil pump drive pinion in the B21 engine, I ended up using 0.8mm welding wire and shocking up to get it lift up. The B230 was a piece of cake, lifted it up using a plastic cable tie.
Once that was done it was time to start sorting out the wiring loom. I managed to get both plugs through 2 hole already in the firewall which was a handy. The ignition amp, injector resistors plus a relay are coming to be mounted by the battery. The MAF lead will have to be lengthened as it does reach the MAF housing.
