I would like to thank everyone who turned up to the First Scottish Mini meet today. We couldn't have asked for better weather, in fact, it didn't really feel like November at all.

All together, there were 14 Volvo's in attendance between VPCUK and VOC including, what must be said the star of the show, "Oscar the Amazon", which was really nice to see in between all the more modern Volvo's.

The day went really well, everybody talking about modifications, Volvo's, and generally having a laugh.

I am now in the process of getting the Second Scottish meet up and running, and if today is anything to go by, these meets should go from strength to strength. The next meet planned, will be after the New year and the venue changed to somewhere more Northerly, so watch this space.

Once again thanks to everyone who came along, it just shows that having meets in Scotland can work.

I have included some photo's from the meet, but my camera is a bit naff, so not too many, I'm sure others will post better pictures.

Thumbs up

Hi, what a great turnout! Well done in organising the meet! I feel a bit homesick after looking at the photos

Sorry I was not able to get over there. What with working away from home during the week and only having Saturday and sunday to keep on top of the jobs at home there was just not the time.

If the next meet is further north that will not be a problem for me as, although now at Cockburnspath, I was brought up in Inverness and travelling that far for a visit is quite commonplace.

Congrats on getting this going again!

"Oscar" and myself would like to thank you for organising the meet. It was the first time I've ever ventured into such a thing and it was painless, in fact, most enjoyable !!
Great to meet you all and I look forward to the next meet, if I'm not out on the road, I'll be there.

Yep, got to agree with Oscars mate, new venture for me too, nice one Locky, great to put faces to forum names and see such a good cross section of cars.
Oscar did it for me, although seeing the 850 R close up for the first time did get me thinking it was time for a change.

See you all at the next one.
Phil.

it was a great day good to meet people and put some names to faces. Thanks for the supply of the w40 and the screwys for the running repairs to the stubborn bonnet lock.Look forward to next one if i aint in the sand trap, and again i rekon that oscar was the star, what a sweet looking motor in really good condition. when i get away from the perils and boredom of my mum and dads dial up i will chuck some pictures up. nice meet locky
