My last 940 is now at Caerphilly. I drove it down to Preston and Steve got the train up to there and drove the car back while I then returned home in the train. It worked out well. I am 15 miles from Dundee.

Final chapter. Just waved goodbye to my car. Forum member s40dsport, Matt, bought it. I drove it down to the Irish ferry for him and am currently sitting in Belfast returning as a foot passenger. Matt covered these expenses and paid full asking price for what is a very special Volvo. Glad it's gone to such an enthusiast, only 33years old but in possession of a passion and knowledge that puts many of us older codgers to shame. Great day out, sad end for me. Genuinely gutted.

Thanks chaps. I will take the occasional trip in Mrs car as and when sight settles down. It is just the long five day a week commutes that will be replaced by train. A lovely car gone to a great home.

Thanks again for your honesty and for bringing the car accross to me. Having driven it last night again I can honestly say its one of the best driving Volvos I have owned, its just a pleasure. Really superb. Can't wait to get it valeted

I'm glad a decent member had this fine car .i was going to have it but I would of made a beast with all the stuff I've got on my other 940 .so I decided I would keep with my 940 because I didn't want to do it to a stock excellent condition car like this one .just hoping I can get my car to the condition of this one .goodluck and hope to see it in the future .
