Now i know something about the leak proporties
I need to know how check the injector nr in the ECM
Second problem is that these injectors are obsolete and cant be ordered anymore.
Now i normally want "new" stuff concerning this equipment, but reconditioning is maybe a wrong class after reconditioning
Is an second hand injector with the original part nr wich test (At bosch service before refitting)aprox like injector 1 or 5 an option?

i am not sure if that is correct with yours as they are not classed like the old ones. you say you can not get them from the dealers??if so why not they must have replacement injectors for your car

They have a different nr indeed but there is still an "injector class" only noted different so if i take one from the dealer i need to reprogramm it and i wonder if individual injectors can be different with the coding?

I also think that the injector coding is hexadecimal
Has anybody here ever coded or readed out an injector nr/class with vida?
I wrestled with it and couldnt find it

Hi,
After looking at VIDA , it would apper that only the early 163 D5's have clases numbers for the injectors and a means of seting them in to the ECU.
My 2003 D5 dose have it , but a 2006 car I looked at dosenot.
The parts list show class numbers for the replacment injectors only for the early cars.

The leak off figure , from VIDA ,for the early D5 is a max of 40 ml per min each injector at idle.
Regards Rogerb

The injectors for the later 2005- D5 are indeed classed too but the long number on top has to be programmed in the same way as earlier ones but only a software download opens up the relavent screen for doing this , see my post#7 above ...

@roger

Thanks for the leakback figure

@clan

I also got confirmed the software update by a volvo mechanic
But is that only for different nr's ? i imagine with the same nr's it wont be needed
But still im wondering how you can readout the nr's already there
