Checked today and you should be given 14 days to decide whether to keep it or have it removed! 2 weeks real time driving without risk.

They know that once you have experienced the improvements you won't want to go back to a lesser car. Even if Polestar isn't a super go fast product, it still improves the car to what you would want it to be. I would now be very disappointed not to have it on my XC70.

Had my D3/4 163bhp chipped by Superchips about two months ago. I was looking for a Polestar-type level of modest power increase, but Polestar upgrade isn't available for that engine. I love it - it now runs 185bhp and a chunk more torque - no great improvement from a standing start, but the real world on-road improvement is very noticeable and it has got rid of the on/off delivery of the standard tune. In case you think I'm advertising for Superchips, I had my D2 C30 done more recently, but I'm not so impressed by that upgrade...

Superchips company went into administration and was bought by another company and the satisfaction levels seem to have dropped markedly. When I last fitted a Superchip upgrade about 10 years ago, I was very impressed with the overall improvement to my car and reassured by their engine guarantee but I'm not so sure now if the reviews are anything to go by.

The Superchips upgrade is installed through VIDA. The technician sends the installed map back to HQ and they then write a new map based on your standard one and send it back to the technician who uploads it to your ECU. Had two different technicians visit for the two cars I had done (at different times!) and I was impressed by both. After installation you then do a road test and the map is tweaked if needed (my V70's was great first time, but the C30 needed tweaking). No rolling road, but you pay extra for that.

Yes, the vans say another company name (can't remember what), but the technicians I saw had both worked for the previous company.
