Sounds brill! I've been trying to contact you but can't pm because I haven't made enough posts. I've done one of those visitors messages and whatnot but in case you don't get it I hope you might see this! I'm going to order the same box as yours but I can't find the multi pin connector they say is between the pump and the loom and that will have either 8 or 10 pins. The only thing that I can find is the 3 pin one on the bracket on the left hand side of the pump. Hope you can help! Many thanks, regards, Bob

Follow the dipstick down and you will find it lurking well down there, small hands are a bonus!

Thanks very much! Sounds like it's best to get at it from underneath? Is it very big? Is it on a bracket like the one on the end of the pump or just in the loom?

I did mine from above and it was easy enough, only hard part is disconnecting something that has been connected for so long. It is about 1.75" by 1" and if I remember right it is held on to somekind of bracket but just pulls of. The wires are covered by a ribbed plastic coating that you may find has gone very brittle and breaks up.

Make sure the engine is in top condition before you think about doing any power enhancements. The extra power WILL find any weakness.

Have a read through this:

Thanks Martin. I've got my RonBox and have blanked off the EGR and I am wondering what settings to use on the box - 1 is off, 2 late and 3 early so I thought number 3 might be best and then I wondered roughly where to twiddle the power setting to. I'm looking to get more ' pull ' and hopefully get better economy rather than top speed as I don't do much motorway stuff. Any advice would be gratefully received! Regards, Bob

The high, medium and low are the maf compensator modes, my maf is good so I have it on low/late. Early brings the torque in sooner but can be too smokey off boost. 2/3 of the way on the power adjustment gives a healthy gain that you will notice and give good economy without being smokey.

Thanks very much Martin - sorry I still don't have enough posts to be able to pm you! I'm assuming my MAF is OK because it runs well and I don't get any warning lights up. I'll set it up like you've said and see what happens! Thanks again, regards, Bob
