In that pic the paint hasnt been color sanded or buffed yet, and the previous color was really more of a Silver Paint look that didn't have the Metal affect, and now that is there also. As a quick comparison you can see the chroming/metal affect more in the 2nd picture, but it is much better in person rather than in the grainy pictures of the camera phone.

Definately more depth to the colour and as you say once buffed up it will be even deeper. Can't wait to see the end result.

Here are some pics while under the unforgiving yellow Florence lights in the shop, and as you can see here, the patterning/blotch is gone now... The Grilles and Headlight rings are getting sent out to be redone with the rest of the bumpers and trim to be done in a couple of shades lighter brushed finish, and I think that will do the trick.

James.. I appreciate the nice words, and the paint job is very nice, but I would really classify it at about an 8 or 8.5 overall, and that is really only due to what I plan on using the car for. The customer build cars will actually have a much better paint job overall. LOL

I'm not nit picking (ok maybe I am), but I can see what looks like the mounting points for the rear lights above and below the reflector, they only stand out as they're painted silver, would be better painted a dark colour so they aren't noticeable. Paintjobs spot on though, looking really nice now.
