I drive it like a nun to work as I do not need to draw attention, sunroof open, cruise control on, enjoying the scenery. When no one is looking is a different story but don't need the attention or tickets driving to/from work. On the plus side I don't live in the UK so not every BMW n18/20d driver is stuck to the rear bumper looking for a race.

I'm sure you look awesome in it. I'd look like an idiot in one though - it's the zimmer frame.

I really don't give it a second thought what anyone thinks. I've got my Volvo for winter, my Focus for when I'm not on my GSX-R750.
I enjoy my toys and don't look for anyone else's approval. Love them all for different reasons.

Yeah - why I like my T5s. Similar tuning potential to the Focus but insurance premiums are lower and I don't have every Tom. Dick and Harriet up my backside in their Kia wanted to race me all day
And RS's aren't cheap in the UK. Beautiful cars though - wish I had bought one on the scheme when I worked for a company owned by FMC. |

I always wanted a T5, the old 2.3 which could really be worked.
I parked at work yesterday next to a Mk2 Focus RS in green, the one with the 'T5' engine. Nice car, but I still like my AWD version. It's like a PlayStation on wheels.

I had an old T5 C70 with the 2.3 engine which was a lovely looking car. Sold it at a huge profit to a collector. Got a high mileage 2.4 litre S60 T5 after that really cheap and planned on modifying it, painting it black and chucking leather seats in it.
Then I found a black, half leather S60 T5 Sport that I picked up for £1850 with 70K on the clock. Spent about £10K getting it right and still spending but it's a lovely car. It hauls ass. Just need the Bilstein B12 pack on it and my new alloys Monday evening and then she is done - apart from the air conditioning, a rather annoying noise underneath - nobody seems to know what it is. Given all of the suspension components have been replaced, engine mount bushes etc etc, I have given up Oh, and have a very small leak on the hybrid turbo and cannot decide whether to get it wrapped or painted.... And failed dismally to connect up an IPod to it so gave the Ipod to my wife (her Audi has a connection) so have CDs cluttering up the interior Excellent car - not made for Cornwall though so spend my days mostly in a Toyota Rav4 |

Cracking cars those P2's but can have some noises which are a real PITA to track down.
Have you looked at Parrot for a Bluetooth option ? I had a 9xxx kit in my MY05 D5 Sport for my Android phone(s), if not for iPhone, there must be an equivalent without swapping out the excellent Volvo head unit. I got a quote for wrapping the roof of my S60, 300€. The car is white and fancied carbon fibre...

The guy that sold it to me had a big silver and blue head unit fitted which is the first thing that went in the bin. Once I fitted a HU 650 the parking sensors started working.
I spent a few hundred repairing minor scratches and dings but still not happy with the paintwork so thought about wrapping the whole thing. My only issue is that I live in Cornwall - scratches and dings are common as there are many people round here who cannot drive, particularly Zombies (holidaymakers). Mine is a P1 - not many in the UK with a 6 speed manual and not many in black. It's a cool car. |

Post some pics up, there must be some folks can give a hand with a P1.
