It is twice a year around week 15 to 20 and again around week 45 for many mass prodution car plants.

So middle/end of May 22 for my23 cars and middle/end of November 22 for my 23.5 cars.

Staying optimistic, based on the Volvo MY periods schedule, when would be the earliest likely month/year when the Inscription may become available again to order?
Inscription isn’t coming back. R Design will be the top model. This has come direct from my dealer. Complete reshuffle of the model range for MY23.

I much prefer the inscription for the interior choices. I don’t like all black interiors. But the chrome on the outside I could take or leave. As long as they give you the choice of interior colour on the R design I wouldn’t mind it (my reference point is the V60 maybe you can get light interiors on other models in Rdesign). It’s clear from the used adverts that the R design is generally the more popular choice and if they are struggling to produce volume, due to chip shortage, you can understand why they would reduce down to the R design.

It sounds like they planned to discontinue inscription anyway but the chip shortage has accelerated that plan. A bit like the vegan steering wheel…
