Yes, my NL spec. 2019 XC60 T8 on order has a 70L fuel tank. Only the D5 is bigger at 71L. That's about the only good thing about the 2019 model, as the engine power down rating over the 2018 version is disappointing...

If only the price was more in line with the D5.

I'll stick with my MY17 spec then. More power AND it costs less to fill up the tank

My last tank of Diesel in my XC90 D5 cost £84 and my low fuel level light was not on before filling up.

I think the simple fact of the matter is that the diesel is more than powerful enough for most and probably pulls steam train like due to its torque.

If you suffer the shiny pin syndrome and must buy the latest reg plate and are a bit of an eco worrier then yu can waste your money on the T8 which appears to offer little if anything over the cheaper diesel.

Not sure what 'latest plate' has anything to do with it.

For balance: T8 has more power, more torque and can run on batteries, it's more refined at low speed and has more equipment as standard.

Nothing wrong with the D5 at all (I always had diesels) but just because you don't need/want a T8, doesn't make them a waste of money.

Khm-khm.. more hp yes- but you're wrong about torque.. T8 is weaker by 80Nm..

High torque diesels are the best way to travel in a large 4x4 unless you wish to pay extra for a petrol version which is less fuel efficient
