Lets get this into perspective!! The pipes will only stick out marginally below the bottom valance at the very worst and certainly won't appear like a bloody wheelbarrow as seems to be inferred here.

LOL true!Did you buy some yourself? Can you confirm if they fit the curved pipes without modification?

fitted some of these tail pipes a couple of years ago but the ones I used were large enough to fit straight over the "bump" in the Volvo's tail pipes, I think the internal diameter was about 65mm for the chrome pipes.
Lasted quite well with a bit of rust only just showing but have ordered two new ones from my local accessory shop and still only £8 each.
Used to have Volvo's own on but some low life took a fancy to it, bar steward..

That looks really smart, how they should have been from the factory!

It's for a Golf and its supposed to be Stainless...

I'll report how (and if!) they fit once they arrive.

Stu.
Did they fit over the curved down pipes Stu?

Here's a couple of pics. Stainless/chrome finish seems pretty good for the money. The clips inside are ingenious. Four spring clips rather than nipping up a self tapper. And there's a drain hole. If (!) these fit, we should go into business, flogging them on for £60, those crazy Volvo owners will happily spend an arm and a leg on these!!
Oh wait, that's us...
