My 2010 XC90 had a BSR remap on it and because it's loader also read & deleted faults, I found out I had 2 injector fault codes which kept coming back after deletion.
I returned the car to "normal" and put it to Volvo under warranty and got a new ECM or something fitted... No questions asked. |

From what I understand the ecu does show an update has been made but this is one of many files for various functions. You would have to go for looking for it with a logical assumption that it has been flashed by another dealer with a software update.
An example; My 65yrs dad old couldn't obtain a dsg tiguan with 180bhp only a 140bhp on the list and didn't want an underpowered manual. So he sourced the 140 and had it mapped by AMD to 180bhp to create his own model! Various services by vw with zero drama, same as my experience with Beemer on the cooper s. Has anyone heard of people having a warranty termination on these grounds? I know directly from someone that has mapped thousands of cars that he has had had nil warranty scares. I fully understand people want to play it safe though. |
