I've had this problem once out of the many installations I've done and the good news is that it's fixable.

The bad news is that you have to do the fix on a brand new installation so yet another full uninstall unfortunately.

This is a copy and paste of the fix that worked for me. Taken from this thread on swedespeed.
Reinstall Vida, don't restart when prompted. Go to libraries, Windows 7_OS (C, then Windows, System32, search (CTRL and F) for tskill.exe.mui, then copy the tskill, back one page to Windows, SysWOW64, move to a blank space, right click, paste. Then install the patch. Restart and run Vida.

Now I'm starting to get hacked off!
Wiped everything, all 11 programs. Did the tskill thing and everything else.
Re-installed as per instructions.
Vida runs, reads the car, but back to the unhandled exception problem again!

Why won't this bloody thing work properly???????

It won't be the Dice as that is definitely fault free but I'm happy to send you another copy of Vida in the unlikely event that it's a software issue.

When you've read the vehicle, are you ensuring that the region/partner group box shows EUR before clicking OK and doing diagnostics?

1.Fresh Win Pro x64 install
2.No updates required. Turn automatic updates off after windows installation
3.Install Vida from DVD or alternatively install Virtual CD/DVD/B-Ray software like Daemon tools or alternative
4.Restart. Not needed if Vida installation directly from DVD
5. Mount vida installation image to virtual dvd and begin vida installation.
6. Restart after vida installation completed
7. Launch patch. Wait until Vida icon turns green in the taskbar
8. Restart
9. Plug dice and let drivers to be installed
10. Launch vida

Enjoy

Done this so many times with 100% success

I cant remember now but I had similar problem few years ago with Vida 2012D. Dice could read vehicle but once you click Diagnostics Tab and try perform programming a message comes on the screen. It was Dice hardware messing about.

Looks like it's ActiveX being 32 bit and my system is 64 bit. Didn't you say the software runs ok on 64 bit Si?
