What put me off Land Rover is the main dealer cost in this area of £240 an hour and Indi's charging £60 an hour. Both way more than Volvo.

Also the main dealer advertised that one of their Land Rovers went wrong every minute of the day. (selling warranty blurb)

Wasn't as well finished as Volvo as far as my Range Rover was concerned.

The Defender is getting a new chassis, having rusted out, so now it has none of it's original components!

That's imagine looks like someone has picked a particular unusual set of customisations. Mines will be like below, except replace the brown bits with black bits.

I was interested in the f-pace, but once I saw the pricing, I decided it wasn't for me. Would be around £3-4K more for similar spec to the GLC.

Have also looked at land rover DS, but they are only doing the 5 seat variant in manual only, and only with the smallest config of engine, which is strange for a car called "sport". I really don't want or need 7 seat capability.

That looks very nice.

I nearly ordered a GLA AMG line. The interior is very similar and the AMG seats are very nice.

The car was way to small though.

Pity amerc don't sell that combo in UK. I like those coloured seats. It's either all beige or all black. I like the contrast in my XC.

I still think the screens in these class mercs look like an after thought? I personally prefer built in than..well built ON.

Maybe it's a design for the American market. Doesn't appeal to me. If it works well though! Mercs usually have nice engines.

I think this is better if the limitations of a full off roader are acceptable. Bit cheaper than the XC60.

Had the new GLC 220d test driven a few weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised - the looks with the AMG package are stunning, the interior, with right combination of colours, catches the eye too.

But the main surprise was the dynamics and ride capabilities. Thanks to the new nine speed auto the acceleration from standstill is real quick, while also being very efficient on the highway, IIRC while doing 120km/h the rpms were at about 1200 (NB: I don't drive diesels that often, maybe its normal actually). But what made really like this car is the handling, even the standard suspension is very comfortable yet stable on the road. I've read MB have implemented multilink suspension both front and rear, I think this makes the car really balanced.

I'd love to see a more powerful petrol engine on this car, which could outperform my T6 in raw power, that'll be a fun and practical car.
