Breaking the news isn't the hard bit Steve - living with the fallout afterwards is!

Joking aside, tell her it'll stop you from getting under her feet in the kitchen and wherever else she may be now you've retired so it has its upside and isn't it worth that to her to keep her sanity?

Like (i think) Andrew said, there's a lot of us wishing you the best on this one, you could always drag your wife into Poole Pottery (don't expect your wallet to like it though) as a "bribe" before you have your "dirty weekend in the middle of the week" in the hotel.............
