Thought I was going to have to go for new reluctor rings due to this:

(Rubbish pic, but think you get the idea)
Then read that loose drive-shaft bolts can cause mayhem with ABS warnings! No codes found.
So going for the 'easy fix' first....... Found this!!!!!

The only thing holding the bolt in was the dust-cap!
The last time it was touched was by the mec' who replaced the top strut's mount for me last year!
It's back in now at 35Nm + 90 degrees after being cleaned up and loc-tited. Supposed to be replaced I understand.......
The car is off on a 2hr each way jaunt as I type, so glad I found it before SWMBO left!

Hi All
Just took my XC 70D5 on a road trip to Amsterdam for the weekend.First long trip in the old girl and clocked up just over a thousand miles. Really impressed with the comfort and economy of the xc70
Looking forward to the next long trek in this vehicle. Should have bought one year's ago if I knew it would be this good

Fitted front subframe polybush inserts.

Taking into account cost (£18), difficulty (schoolboy level), time (less than an hour) versus improvement, it's probably the best job I've done on my car.

On my 190+k miles car, they have made a significant difference.
I didn't think I needed them to be honest. I just bought and fitted them on a whim.
Such a simple concept too which avoids the need for expensive rebushing of the subframe so top marks to whoever thought of it.
