I've also got the walnut trim it looks really nice. If you look back through my posts I did put up a few pictures of it. Date of that post was around 28 Sept.

I decided against the nav option for exactly the same reason, love my TomTom with live traffic.

Having had my car for two moths now I can confirm that the heated screen does have an effect on the TomTom. I would say that it works for 80% of the time but does tend to loose the signal in town centres or on motorways with deep cuttings. Does get annoying at times and now seriously thinking of getting the nav added.

Thanks for that, I knew there was a reason why I had resisted getting a heated screen in the two prior XC60s but it's easy to forget when presented with a new list of toys to choose from! I'll have to seriously consider the Nav then and forego the excellent traffic updates. Either that, or abandon the heated screen; but, that's easy to say until there's a hard frost (not that there's much sign of that at the moment!)

If you have added Sensus Connect to your spec, then you can always add Nav later. My car was ordered with the High Performance Sound option and Nav. Factory forgot to fit Nav, but dealer only had to request license key to activate it as Sensus Connect includes the software part already.

The High Performance Sound upgrade meant I saved a lot of hassle as it included the 7" screen which Nav also brings. Not sure if your current spec does, that's the only place I could see a problem adding Nav later if you wanted to.

The built-in Nav has traffic updates. I don't know how excellent the TomTom ones are these days, but you can easily scroll to see whether it is 'just' regular roadworks ahead or something worse!

My TomTom system uses the position and speed data of its user base to determine where there may be traffic problems, no matter what the road; I believe that TMC is limited to major roads only.

TomTom LIVE traffic is superb - much better than any built-in device i've ever used.

Never noticed any performance issues with the tom-tom in car I've had (Smax/XC60) or hired with a heated windscreen.

The Nav is standard on mine. Didn't get an option not to have it. Looks OK, but I prefer my TomTom because of the LIVE traffic, free map udates, and prefer to use that as the main road out of here is always being closed for one reason or another (A21).

If you watch some of the Volvo videos and now that we all have a chance to have " a connected car" then it's not to difficult to see this coming in the future.

Thanks, do you have a heated windscreen in your XC60; if so, does the TomTom have any problems with reception?
