This is the fitted item, for Volvo part number see my previous post.
Part costs about £60 and an easy DIY five minute job.
I don't know why anyone is having trouble finding this, my dealer suggested it when I collected the car as they knew we have dogs and ordered and delivered in 24 hours.

My dealer got it straight away but I tried to buy it on-line and there was absolutely nowhere to get hold of it, thought I might be able to get hold of it cheaper.

Hmmm....

Swap the standard painted one for a black one
Or add the stainless steel one to the coloured one
Or take the coloured one off, fit a black one and if I don't like it add the stainless steel one onto the black one and replace them both with the original coloured one at some point in the future when we sell it
Or...

FFS - choices, choices, choices...life getting shorter....

Feck it - I will order the stainless steel one from eBay and be done with it.

I would think the Volvo one is better in terms of fit and protection, but the Stainless one looks so much better and tones in with the other satin bits and pieces.

Hahaha! I feel your pain! Everything nowadays has way too many choices. I am Mr Procrastinator sometimes and choices really is the last thing I need! I agree the chrome will look best but have lumped for the black one.

Really disappointed as I have the stick on one and decided against fitting it myself as knew it would be like trying to put a screen protector on a phone. You know.... However well you clean it there's always those few spots of dust get there somehow just before 'stick down'! I got the guys who applied my paint protection to put it on as they have dust free environments etc. Lo and behold there are 3 specs of dust under it and now has numerous air bubble. Really disappointed that should happen and now decided I don't want any more stick on products! The black plastic one involves nothing sticky I believe!

I didn't think of that bit, I have tried to do screen protector before and that went....not very well. So now I have a 4 foot protector to stick on....

Maybe buy a black one first and stick the silver to that....and around the drain I spin again!

Yeah thought I'd throw that in the mix lol!

If those guys cannot fit it not sure what chance I would have! Very surprised they messed it up to be honest, I'm sure others here have fitted them, possible sans bubble??

We still have the plastic coating on ours, they left it on when the hoist was fitted and we haven't taken it off so the chair does not mark it.

I also have an MY15 XC60 and ordered the black replacement piece from the dealer (same dog problem), but they want to charge me $50 to do the install. You mentioned the install is simple... Can you walk me through popping off the current one? I don't want to break any little plastic clips... Been there with other cars and don't want to screw up again.

Any insight would be helpful... and will save me $50!

Thanks!
