I do understand what you mean but i didn`t really mean "bandwagon" as it is good to look after the engine and fuel system.

Thomas`s 1.8 above has only done 84,000 and he told me he did not notice much difference after using it.

My T4 had 124,000 on the clock and did go like merry hell after this treatment and also now my V70 at 158,000 it really cleared the cobwebs from that as well.

Of course where you do these miles and at what speed you travel does all help the performance of the engine. Fuel these days especially Shell Optimax is so clean probably at 75k there wasn`t much carbon there, but at least you know it has had a clean out and will keep peak performance for a while.

id have to agree with both of you,, keith's point about the modern cleaners in fuels, how/where the car is driven And your keeping on top of the maintenance,, with the not high miles , probably means there wasnt much at all in there for it to clean out,
which, in a roundabout way, says your making sure your cars looked after properly to start with,

i think a new to you car, that you dont know how its been driven/maintained would probably benifit more,, or a much higher milage one.

Yep.

There has definitely been a change in throttle response since using the BG244k. At least there was a difference after buying it but it's good to know it's went in there and whatever carbon buildup there was is likely now gone so it's done it's job

I use that thing every 5k or so...

Last time it was in the tank, I got a really really really low gas consumption. 11.5l/100km instead of 13l/100km But then I refueled again and it bounced back to normal.
And I was driving FAST...

Strange.
