I work for Michelin so tyres are free for me I currently have Michelin sport 3 on the front and Michelin sport 2 on the back and find them excellent in both wet and dry conditions but then I would say that eh.

The biggest difference i found was at parking speeds as the steering is so much lighter
Also i find the ride is not so hard on comfort setting. In my opinion i feel overall the car is better all round on the pirellis than the michelins and they were quite a bit cheaper too. Now i will have to see how last they long ! I am not knocking michelin at all and i know pirelli have had their fair share of flak too its just on this car and my opinion i feel they are an improvement. |

On a Volvo I go for the Pirelli although they will wear out quicker. I can't say what the PS3's are like because I've never tried them. |

The angle gear is a known weak point on the R. Not sure if its applicable to both manual and auto, I would expect the answer is yes??
They can wear and even break, causing a slipping or complete lack of 4 wheel drive. Mine was starting to slip, but I couldn't tell until one of the local Volvo techs, (who tests the police T5's) diagnosed it. I think they now fit an uprated part if its being replaced (XC90????) |

Picked up an S60R on Saturday, 53 plate with just over 100k on it.
I was worried about the mileage but in the end go it for just under £4.5k so was happy with that, needed a couple of things sorting (like the nackered handbrake) but those are done now and I love it. It drives so smoothly and has virtually no knocks or rattles. I expect to have to replaces some bushes and other bits soon. It has effortless power and is so comfortable. A couple of quick images.... |

Ahh very nice.
Can't work out which I like more, silver or graphite wheels. Mine need a refurb. Loving the car more each time I drive it,turning circle is a nightmare though |
