Ive used Nokians in the past. Never had a problem. In fact once I left a pair on all year round. Again no problems in the summer either. Its not as though I belt it round corners etc. I have my dealer hunting for sets but as usual they are hard to find. My fault for leaving it so late.

After a bit of mulling I've gone with the 18" 5 spoke and a set of Alpin 5 for ny XC90 Inscription Pro - will post a pic once I get them delivered and stick them on the car. Main (and slightly ridiculous I guess) concern was whether the wheels would look too small for the car given that I've got the 21" as standard - but rolling radius is within 1%, just less rim and more tyre so will fill the wheelarch the same. #firstworldproblem

This may allay your fears (or not).

Doesn't bother me in the slightest as it's defo a case of function over form for winter driving.

I'm having trouble getting any.....no matter what size. Anyone know of a dealer with some in stock ? 18" preferred.

If you are concerned abot the size of your wheels, you could always do what this chap has done ....

Not aware my dealer has them in stock given they're talking a couple of weeks for delivery to them on a pallet! Can your dealer service manager not help as I assume they're coming from some central facility?

Mine arrived on a pallet. I just happened to be at the dealer's as they were delivered.

Iirc it took ~10 days for them to come from Europe (can't remember where exactly).
