since moving to Finland, I don't get to see many 240s, but I cycle past this one most days. it doesn't go very far. its a nice dark bluey green. |

Saw a J reg red 240 estate on the A38 coming onto the A38 near the Willington turn off north of Burton On Trent.
Made my day to see another 240. I was in the silver GLT estate heading to Derby James |

What is it with 240 drivers who won't wave or acknowledge another 240?
There's a man in a greyish/blue estate I pass once in a while on the Cardigan/Aberystwyth road. He would never acknowledge or make eye contact when I had my previous 240, so the first time I saw him since getting the new car I tried again. Still no response. I know there's a social pecking order between different makes and models of classic cars and some marques don't wave to others, but all 240 drivers are equal, aren't they? |

I think it's an age thing. I noticed the same with my old Riley c1968 which was the same age then as my 240 is now.
Those people who had owned these cars a while regarded them as just a car (like a Ford Focus owner would now), but enthusiasts who bought them regarded them as a bit of a hobby and a special interest. 240s are currently transitioning from being old bangers to classics. |

At about lunchtime a dark blue 240 estate passed me heading south on the A281 just south of Henfield, Sussex. Almost the same as mine going north except that I have a large roofrack and Virgo Alloy wheels - this had flat plastic wheel covers, so prob a 240DL.
No waves here either, but in fairness very little time to respond. P |

Red E plate 240 estate between Newton Abbot and Paignton turning.
I was the 240 driver waiving like a hyperactive kid on amphetamines. |

I saw a red 240 estate dragging (very slowly) a caravan up Telegraph hill just south of Exeter on Friday last week. It looked very loaded, I'm not sure why they didn't put their luggage in the caravan?!

That's the one Dan. Saw it just by the bridge by The Sloop pub.
Think he had fitted -70mm springs on the back |
