No idea about cats, but I don't like getting wet either.

He's going to try and contact Volvo technical in Sweden and open a case to get a VFR (Volvo Flight Recorder) sent over so they can log what's happening. Unfortunately it doesn't log any codes so diagnosing the fault now is becoming very hard. |

I did a scan on it this morning before I restarted it and it didn't get anything. That's a generic reader though. Ideally I need VIDA /DICE logging on a laptop to actually capture what's going on, got the laptop and can get the software but how do you read/record live data? Obviously through the OBD2 but can we get cables that work with it or do you have to be with Volvo to have that equipment?

If ViDA does it then yes. It's the communication bit between the laptop and the car

Ooo could I possibly borrow it for a week or so please? I need to see what I can install on a laptop. I have a monster of a desktop but no laptop so need to borrow my sisters haha. I think I downloaded VIDA a while back.

Of course. I've got a Bluetooth odb2 connector your welcome to use as well if the laptop is Bluetooth or if you have any logging software on your phone.
