I don't have a fob 'key' with my current car so will likely continue to press the buttons out of habit and enjoy the handle lighting
They also light up as soon as you touch the inside of the door handle to open the doors. If you want illumination for your approach to the car, you have to use the fob buttons.

I may be wrong as I was mostly looking at the R-Design spec.
Illumination pack is standard on R-Design and Inscription, optional on Momentum.

Default Lighting

Took some pics in the darkness of my garage. I would've taken pics of the ambient lights on their own but the camera's battery ran out.

Volvo have missed a trick by not illuminating the word 'Volvo' on the side step the way Lexus (and probably others) do it.

Thanks for the pics. Looks pretty good. Does the LED lighting around the trim stay on when driving.

Picked our XC90 up today and do far I'm loving it, although only scratching the surface of the menus!

I have a question about the real time traffic information that's fed into the SatNav. My dealer said that the RTTI data is fed to the car via the Volvo On Call connection but I have a sneaking no suspicion that it's actually using my connected phone to download this information (i.e. It's consuming my mobile data allowance). Does anyone have a definitive answer on how the RTTI is being sent to the car?
Thanks

I was told by dealer it comes over a standard radio frequency.

I think that's the basic traffic information but they can also provide real time traffic information (RTTI). Just not sure whether that comes over my phone connection or the connected Volvo On Call connection?

Not sure I can. Go on tell us.... Only thing I can see is the drivers door looks different but that could be camera and light.
