They are the same as yours Stu, except I ordered them from Amazon. Now then (drum roll).....they only bloody fit! I didn't even have to push that hard. Firmly in place but of course being auto clip they will be easy to steal. Having said that even the screw on ones will be easy to take if someone really wants them. These are exactly the same as the ones Shadey purchased, so not sure why they were described as a tight fit. Anyway just went for a long drive and they are still perfectly in position.

In this festive season I think we need to spare a thought for our own XC90 messiah. His name is Shadey, he came to deliver a message and then disappeared, never to be seen again. One day it is told he will come again! Until that day, we salute you Shadey! Thanks for saving us all 200 quid .

Excellent Acer!! Glad they do the job! I tried to wiggle one off this morning, but it wouldn't budge.
Absolutely right about 'The One They Call Shadey!' Hip hip hooray!!
Some say he resides on Halley's Comet, only gracing us with his presence every 76 years...

Must be a tighter fit on your pipes. Odd when we consider mine are the same as Shadey's. Mind you they are not loose, it is just that you can tug them off (ehem!) if you want. End of the day if someone wants them they will have them but at least we didn't pay £250 for them .

Thanks to this thread I bought the stainless steel pipes from AliExpress for my petrol 2.5T a year ago. The 2.5T end pipe is also pointing down but the stainless steel pipe fitted fine.

It doesn't protrude out and looks like factory installed!

Hello guys, sorry for the late reply, been really busy just lately.

You already have the answers to your questions but I can confirm.

1. No alterations to the pipes are necessary, simple push fit.
2. Yes they fit both straight and curved pipes due to the internal diameter being large enough to accommodate the curve of the pipes.
3. No they do not fail the MOT, they are neither sharp nor protrude beyond the bumper.

Mine now have a few rust spots so I guess they're not the best quality stainless. I did start polishing them but for less than a tenner to replace I decided not to bother and to replace when necessary.

Hi Skipjack,
Don't have the Amazon link unfortunately. I ordered mine from eBay here:

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=321594230228

They arrived really quickly and well packed. Ad says they're for a Golf, but they fit perfectly.
Stu.
