Took our last opportunity to see her before she goes off to the trimmers on monday . As you can see she is fairly complete and perhaps the best news was that after standing for nearly 6 months she fired 1st time .

Thanks Pez but its not down to us (apart from breaking the bank) but the professional restorers that we are using . They restore all types and age of car so do not cut corners (hence the cost) but also means the quality of job is top notch .

That's why after owning many classics we are actually spending out on one that drives superbly , comfortably keeps up with modern traffic and feels fairly modern for a 40yr old car , has plenty of space for us and the dogs (2 gsds) and tows our classic caravan comfortably .

As she was ,

Wow, I just read this thread from start to finish, what a story, and what a stunning car, I love to see classic cars being brought back to life. I've only ever done minis, but after the third they got a bit boring to restore. I'm going to get myself some thing new soon to tinker with. Great work, and I'm eagerly awaiting the shots of the retrimmed interior

beautiful car! But you really should paint the area behind the front grille satin black .. The light blue really sticks out like a sore thumb ..
