Id say boost leak or weak actuator. Do you lose all boost all of a sudden or does it tail off?

hits about 4500 rpm then boost all goes gauge drops down to nothing and the car feels like it has hit a brick wall change up a gear so revs come back down and its fine up until 4500 rpm again.
Any good places to get a actuator from you could recommend ? thanks |

You can get them on Ebay mate but after postage from japan etc it probably works out cheaper and easier going straight to Volvo. Does seem strange the boost came back then went away again. I would have all the boost pipes off and thoroughly check them. Do the cheap stuff first!

seems once it is about 90 degreesupwards and is warm it starts to play up when a bit cooler no issues so that would maybe point towards actuator as i read that someone had a issue and once warm it was worse.
will get a price for a new one and look out for a decent second hand one incase someone has one |

When I wanted one from volvo Mrg I think it was around £180 if I remember right plus they would have to order it from sweden. So I bought a few used one's and still going strong

To date a Turbo Kit from Volvo which includes only the bolts bracket and actuator.......from Sweden only with 10% off + 20% VAT comes to about £202......i nearly fell off my revolving chair so Ebay Taiwan style = £45 plus postage and import duty which may mean a replacement in the near future because of inferior parts or the Forge Adjustable Actuator is £166 `ish for the T4 so you can take your pick!!
I only know as i was going to replace the actuator on my T5 and i thought just to get another 2psi boost for £200 was not worth it so i turned up the actuator and got the same for nothing. If all goes tit`s up at a later stage i shall replace the whole turbo. One road i will never go down is the MBC route....`nuff said. POSTED SAME TIME SORRY

That is extortionate. Taiwan it is then lol
In my situation a MBC is needed as there are no mappers who can map the BCS duty cycle for the boost I run. If someone could map it I'd use the BCS but as I will be running nearly 2bar of boost soon I need an up rated garrett -34 actuator and a MBC to dial in the exact boost. Holds rock solid boost at 1.3bar so far.

Looks good to me. These are adjustable as you just swap springs for the desired boost. A 0.6 bar actuator held 1.3 bar max on my turbo.
