Default Castle Coombe track day.

The event is open to anyone who wants to attend on the day. The only restriction is that all the track time is fully booked so there will now be no opportunity to take additional cars on the track. There have in the past been some restrictions put on just a couple of individuals whose presense was not generally welcome.

The event is in fact a Volvo UK event, sponsored by them through their peerless dealership in Chippenham, MRG Volvo. Some of the fees taken to participate and income from raffles etc. does go to various charities. So there is allways priority given to both Volvo and MRG guests and/or customers. t5d5 is just the main medium through which the event is publicised and managed in the UK Volvo community.

Regards, Don.

I think I'm registered there but haven't frequented the forum. I'll take a look at it and the event, as Castle Combe is one of my favourite places.

We have a few busy weekends coming up with shows erc, so hopefully we could attend if the invite would extend to us.

If not I can get one off price of £195 as a returning customer at angel. Which Im happy to take!
wonder if Angel would do a good offer for a 'group buy" their products are well known and would suit a simple quality "stage 1" that many might be happy with

Undoubtedly angel would. And stage 1 would be no problem as discussed.... If we get ten people I'm sure they will do £150 each...

Default £150 a pop.....

I do think you are going off on one here.

Yes, a less than kosher outfit would undoubtedly sell 10 off of one map for £150 each where they have bought just one copyable map for one particular model from one of the 'bucket shop' websites that will sell them a map for under 100 euros, all you need is a BDM device and 'job done'.

But I do believe you are going to have a problem getting just 2 of any one Volvo out of your target number that has the same basic spec. there are variations from year to year between T5s, T5R, R, 2.0T, 2.4T and 2.5T, Focus based T5s, D5s and so on and so forth.

It would take one hell of a lot of work for any player in this market who is not well established, knowledable and of good repute to produce maps from scratch for any more than 2 or 3 identical cars and then sell for £150 each to no more than 10 takers....come off it!

Don.

Hi All,
This is proving to be a very interesting thread, however, as has happened in the past on this subject some, shall we say unwarranted remarks and personalities creep in.
Please let's not spoil a good thread, with really interesting topics, by mudslinging. Keep it on topic and friendly please.
Many Thanks.
