Here's a photo of the MAF that came out of my car.

Am I right that the mesh filter should not be loose like that? If so might explain what's wrong with it....

Spot on. The cable is probably a GPS aerial for the car kit.

Its wired in the loom and dissapears up behind the pillar it looks like matt, i was tempted to follow it but cant be bothered lol.i thought it was a ready made earth cable till i cut a piece off and found out its tiny coax its a professional job that hasn't been put on by a amateur on a Saturday morning lol.maybe a parrot kit. I wonder if it was left in the car matt and the dealer chomped the wires taking the dash piece and other stuff out, explains why all the wiring was left behind.been a handy thing to have had.

More likely the previous owner chopped it off as he got a proper phone that doesn't just make calls.

I had one in mine too. I put it down to owners with expensive tastes paying (on expenses) a premium for HF kits

@spetznaz youre car looks great :-)
I know Kieran, only 7,500 odd miles per year, on average

Keeping it as a low mileage example didn't assist in the price staying any higher, did it? :-(
