Default Thanks!

Posted the DIM on Saturday. Back in the car Tuesday lunchtime. Quick reset with vida and it's running perfectly.

Great job Lukasz! Can definitely recommend him.

Cheers.

Hi all, a few questions here;

Can someone tell me if you can drive a Volvo whilst the DIM has been removed?

Another question - Should I disconnect batter before removing DIM? If so, is it sufficient to just disconnect the black earth lead?

spokoluzik - do you need the whole DIM console sent to you or just the circuit board?

Lastly, does anyone have a tutorial of how to take the DIM out from beginning to end (also how to remove the circuit board).

Thanks

Yes you can drive, however air con and central locking will get a bit crazy.
Dont have to disconnect battery. If your dim is already dead Srs message will appear anyway.
I need whole dim. Safer to post, also need to secure housing with warranty seal.
Pull frame out and use torx 25 to remove 4 bolts then remove dim.

Default ETM problem

Hi Spokoluzik

I think i may have a faulty ETM as i have the following fault codes:
ECM-130A Intake air leakage
ECM-91A7 Throttle unit. Faulty signal

I think I may have sorted the air leakage out. It's the faulty signal that worries me. The engine is surging inconsistantly and has been using a lot of petrol of late. Its a V70 P2 2000 and has done 114k. I don't think the ETM has ever been changed and wonder if the tracks on the TPS are worn through. Can you fix? What do I need to do?

Regards Jon

Sounds very like my problem. I have a N/a 2.4 2001 with no air leaks and 113,709 on the clock with the original white label ETM with no update done.
My ETM is currently on it's way to spokoluzik. Very rough idle, touch the accelerator and it climbs to 3000 rpm and slowly falls back to a rough 1200 rpm, may do this a few times up to four times with no further throttle input.

Default Etm?

Hi, Having problems with my 2001 V70 2.4T - all the symptoms of (Magneti Marelli) ETM failure, as far as I can see: stalls at slow speed under braking, revs drop to below 500 before surging or cutting out, hunts when in park. Took it to my local mechanic who said codes indicated faulty MAF which he replaced (Bosch). No difference.

Took it back and error codes P0101 (bad MAF) and P1171 are showing. Given that the MAF is new, together with the above symptoms, is it likely to be the ETM with code P1171 showing?

If so, I'll take it off and get you to repair it.

Thanks.

Hello Spokoluzik

I have a Volvo S60 2002 and the DIM has developed a fault all the lights go out and you loose the rev counter and speedo. I have sent a email via your website as i couldn't PM you due to lack of posts, if you could let me know the procedure for sending the display to you that would be great.

Regards
Danny
