OT: Volvo also shipped a load of (22 cars I think) 144's to North Korea many years ago and never got paid for them..... many are still gracing the empty roads of Pyongyang!

Not a 200 series but a Volvo!
Finally found it on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaPrK...eature=channel I remember seeing this as a kid. I think this and seeing Volvos stacked up on one another made me become a fan of Volvos |

Right, I'll apologise for this one before I post it! It's got a 244 in it though.
Not quite sure why I looked it up, it just 'popped into my weird head' & I just had to see it!

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned that Luther drives an old 240 saloon in the brilliant BBC cop drama aptly titled "Luther".
Unfortunately last week was the last in the series..... |

Off topic now but can I get away with that here? In the late 1970s at "a teaching hospital in England" a live patient jumped from the top floor of a very old ward block. Landed on the roof of a Volvo saloon hitting it in the middle of the rear window. The roof caved in making a very neat V shape, widest part at front of the roof. The patient benefited from Volvo safety. They were checked over and put back in to bed, unharmed.
I'm ashamed to say, I didn't note the model of the Volvo! |
