apologies for resurrecting an old thread..
i've just fitted the Powerflex Strut Brace Road Series Tensioning Kit to my 2008 S60 T5. i fitted these to the underside of the strut brace, and fitted the washers between the bush and the nut. Tightened as tight as i could. noticed 2 things.... 1. i could not get the bush to sit all the way into the existing bush - there is about a 2-3 mm gap, an even when fully tightened back up it won;t push all the way in. i dug around the existing gap to make sure there was no debris, and also used their grease, but it won't sit in there completely. 2. whilst the forward/back movement has been reduced, there is still some rock possible back and forth with these new bushes in there. i need to do the upper and lower mounts next, but wasn't sure whether to go powerflex or traditional volvo - any thoughts? many thanks |

I've yet to purchase and fit the new top mount bushes. i have noticed that when on the throttle, the car is much more throatier/raspier now than before - not enough to be annoying, but enough to get a message from the wife this morning saying it was noisier - and was it ok? i'll get the top mount sorted next week. Did you notice anything similar on yours? thanks |
