It is the 5 cylinder engine in the car not the 2 ltr as there is another thread point out that AWD is useless in snow, which is true without the correct tyres

I do tend to agree that the XC60 wouldn't win in a performance test against a Maclaren or Bugatti but I think it holds its own against the completion in the SUV market

Fair enough - I had the 163bhp variant in my previous V60, and that went very well indeed ...

Is your highly researched statistical survey of Volvo drivers a world wide one or just confined to the UK?

Six years ago Volvo produced it's fifteen millionth car. How many of the 15 million drivers did you identify as being slow and poor?

Did your family and friends also suggest you get a sense of proportion?

Not much logic to deliberately choose a low power version and then complain that it's the low power version!

The bonus is, I'm getting an extra 3mpg, whoopee!!
244BHP is gutless? Yet you should have bought a Kia Sportage or Mercedes GLA?

You obviously didn't look at the specification of either as they are both considerably down on power and performance compared to the XC60 you have.

Which tuning box have you fitted? Can you post a copy of your rolling road printout to see what to power and torque curves look like.

Another cooler needed here too. D4 181 in today for first service and light came on last week. Don't know when it'll be done as there is no stock available.

Is it a 4 pot of 5 pot?

Its the five cylinder 2.4. Torque is 510 nm. I know all these figures are good on paper but What I'm used to are cars a hell of a lot lighter and not 4x4.

Obviously power to weight is the key just like a motorcycle or any vehicle. Modern 2.0 litre diesels are too far more modern and advanced compared to the 2.4 old lump that is in this d4 xc60.

When i was getting the car, yes maybe i should have investigated it a little more but maybe the sales chap should have explained the features of the 2.0 2.4 differences and positives/negatives etc.

The extra power and torque has improved it though, but not like i would have expected compared to the way the tuning changed the performance and drive of my other vehicles.

I did drive them and as they are lighter, they appear quicker and have a better spread of power, but yes the Volvo won on the quality and softness of the nice leather and interior quality !!! I know i was stupid to have not tested a volvo but when you see figures of 190 bhp and 420nm of torque, you do expect it to be okay. Obviously not in my case. Maybe I just expect too much for having a 39k vehicle.

I have one on an RCZ and a Zafira at present too.

This one is brilliant, massive difference, loads more torque and power. It feels like its got double the pull it had before. Less gear changing too.

I no longer need to say the 190 bhp and 420 nm torque is gutless. It has two settings on the remote control, eco and performance. On performance it is apparently running at 240bhp and 500 nm torque. Really pleased now. I love the XC60 now. Lol.
I think you need to read your previous posts or at least remember what you have actually said!

To be honest your posts are not even worth anyone replying to anymore, there are so many inconsistencies and pointless rantings its all utter bull.

At the end of day its obvious that you don't like the car that you have incorrectly chosen out of sheer incompetence... which is surprising given your supposedly thorough knowledge of cars and your car history along with your ex racing pedigree!
