The Yasaki instrument panel was used on some of the cars and the service light could be reset by removing the rubber grommet and inserting a drift of some sort... The VDO units were initially reset using DTC box A and the 1995-7 cars need the service light tool as a result of the change of some ECM's to OBD11 compliency.... Why they ran two side by side for a period is something i cannot answer....., but would guess as the Yasaki unit did not incorporate a trip computer (it had clock and ambient temp) it was a "option" to upgrade to the digital VDO system at purchase?.... Cheers Jod
