In Britain we have the National Lottery to try to get money for doing very little.

That doesn't appear to dispense as freely to as high a proportion of participants as the US legal system!

His first comment was, ''why are you still b*ggering about with old cars''.
I'd be bitter too if I had a Skoda on finance...

What's wrong with a Skoda? Intrigued to know, as they make nice cars. My Cousin has a Kodiaq, used every single day and not had a single problem with it. He had a "luxury" Mercedes and it basically never left the garage.

Yes. What is wrong with a Skoda? Purchased a new Yeti 2.0lt. in 2016 as run around. Used it for 3 years no trouble at all. Even took it swimming in two foot of water for half a mile in 2nd. year of ownership. Only problem was two fog lamps filled with water, no problem took it back under warranty. Both lamps replaced free of charge and an apology. A fantastic little car.

Just to be clear, son had two V50 T5's. He is now on his second Skoda - his choice - and much prefers them to the Volvo's. He did have a Seat Cupra 300 in between the two Skoda's, but prefers the Skoda.
