HU-605 frozen

Just got in the car to come to work and my HU-605 is frozen on 106.6 FM, with no audio. Still works on CD and presumably tape but doesn't work on AM either. Won't let me adjust tuning and volume control does nothing to help either when on radio. When I'm on a break later I'll take the battery lead off to cut power to see if re entering the code will reset it, which will hopefully sort it, but has anyone had this oddity before?

Update, battery lead off and left for a while, refitted and the radio is still in the same state, doesn't ask for a code either.

I've got a 605 you're welcome to for the price of postage if it helps, although the only thing i unfortunately do not have is the code.

Codes are free from FRF Volvo as long as the original reg is to hand!

Weirdly I was at the breakers earlier and nearly had a 605 out of a V40 up there but decided to leave it (this was a few hours before the fault mysteriously occurred).

I'll get back to you soon if I can't find a fix, cheers!

No worries, there's a choice of registrations as I did have a pair of them, one out of the SE and one out of the T4, so in any case it can only be one of the two.
