Default XC70 MY 2015 Interior Lights & Rain Sensor Fuse Blowing

Hi

I have an xc70 MY 2015. The rain sensing wipers have stopped working (though normal wiper modes are fine) and the driver's and rear seat passenger interior overhead lights have stopped working. I found the 7.5Amp fuse 6 in the passenger foot well had blown, which powers the interior lights and rain sensor (according to the manual). I replaced the fuse and it blew again. I removed the driver's and rear passenger overhead light clusters to find the fault but the fuse blew again. I disconnected the rain sensor on the windscreen but the fuse blew again. I have a short to earth of less than 2 ohms when I measure for the fuse 6 holder to ground. Can the wiring diagrams for this car be obtained? I've been on a wire wiggling expedition under the dash & up the A pillar but I can't change the resistance to earth so I'm thinking that there might be other devices that are fed by fuse 6 that I need to disconnect to fault find. The other interior lights in the doors, boot etc are all working fine so must be fused elsewhere. Do you have any ideas where else I could look or if the wiring diagrams for MY 2015 are available? I found diagrams for a 2010 car online but they do not match my car's interior wiring.

Thanks

I've just been out to the car and I've noticed that the front sun visor mirror lights are also not working. I guess this is all fed from the same fuse as the interior overhead lights.

The vehicle is under warranty - take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

This raises a question I have had since reading an older thread: does anyone know if the upper windscreen water ingress problem is solved by this time? I believe earlier Phase 3 models had this, and it could be water ingress causing this issue.

In 12 V systems, water for sure can cause malfunction of electronic devices. But it's rare that such low voltages blow fuses just because of water. And here seems to be a steady 2 Ohm resistance between the circuit and ground. That doesn't sound like water to me.

It would normally be due to tracking on a PCB caused by contaminants in the water (DAMHIKIJKOK?).

Maybe, but still, a solid 2 Ohm connection that blow fuses immediately? It's possible, but not that very probable.

Hi

The car us under warranty and the fault has been traced to a sun visor connection.

Thanks
