Default Aircon blowing smoke!

I cranked the aircon down to 19 degrees today and was surprised to see water vapour pouring out the centre vent!
I know the aircon is good but it's not normally like that!
Is my dryer unit u/s?
What's required to fix this, garage to empty the aircon and a new dryer unit?
Anybody advise me on this?
Cheers
Paul.

It's not uncommon when blowing cold air into hot car. The dryer is for the refrigerant not the air so won't affect the air from vents.

Thanks for that, so it's just because it's a humid day then?
Quite bizarre to see it happen though!

Yes it is caused by the humidity, when I used to live in the Far East, where the humidity was occasionally over 90% and the temperature 30+C most days, I would get into the car and when the air-con was switched on the car would fill with mist, just like smoke, obviously we had to wait until it cleared before driving off. It didn't happen every day only when the humidity was over 90%, gives you a bit of a shock sat in a car surrounded by mist that looks like smoke.

This thread suggests a blocked drain may contribute to excess moisture: http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthr...-the-A-C-vents

On a another live thread it has been mentioned that clogged pollen filter can add to problem.

I changed the pollen filter last year so it should be ok, when I have time I'll read up on the thread you reference Simon.
Cheers.
