Default Marcel - Central Services

Hello there.
Experiencing 'deck error' with recently purchased V50.
Have seen mention of a Marcel from Central Services who can repair the units.
Can you advise me of contact details or web address.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
No website that I know of.
01473 725953

Excellent service and fast turn around. Fairly common fault apparently.
Good luck!

Hi Blacklab, could I ask.....on the back of the multi changer did you happen to notice if there was a slot to say plug a USB cable in ?
I am wanting to be able to either plug a USB stick in with music on or an mp3 player.

Thanks

V50EAC, I'm sorry I didn't get back I must have missed it, apologies!
There is nothing at the back slot wise.

Donk, He said it was a broken/collapsed spindle in the changer and is very common. I think he said it is plastic that wears in time after changing discs. Had 2 knack'd discs in the unit.

I remember him saying that it would be best just to use 1 disc at a time to save wearing it out. Mine had 5 years worth of work so I guess it only lasts 5 years??!!

Interesting to note that Volvo dealers send their changers to him so you can imagine the mark up they make!

Do you have problems then?

Got to say what excellent service I had from Marcel at Central Services.
Marcel and central services have been dealing with volvo audio for at least 35 years probably 40 years and always give first class service , They used to be volvo UK's official repair agents when volvos import centre was in Ipswich . It would be great if they could start repairing ABS control units and DIM's too .. and S40 GDI engine ECUs as i have a dead GDI needing an ECU !

Mine was about £300 from Marcel, very fast turn around. The dealer wanted £800!
