Default Black plastic bumper trims on 1995 t5r

Hi chaps,

I realise this will probably be a futile post But my cream yellow T5R has remarkably good bodywork except the heavily faded black plastic bumper trims that sits atop the front and rear bumpers are badly dug scraped and generally look tatty.

I’ve had a good look around via Google and I’m drawing blanks – I even gave my local Volvo parts department a good chuckle when I asked if there might be some new old stock knocking around at one of their dealerships.

I’m not worried about the fading because I can have them painted with a decent plastic paint but does anyone know where I might track down an unscathed front and rear set? Might someone have collected such items over the years they have no longer use for?

Appreciate your input…

Default Gtechniq

Hi,
I use Gtechniq C4 trim restoration, it does restore the grey on my 94. I use it’s on side trim, bumpers and drip rails. As always preparation is the key and putting 2 coats on. Around 22 quid for a small bottle which is enough to do one car.
Tried using it in the engine bay not so successful. For blacks I can recommend Solution Finish, which is a dye I use it on my misses Mini and have tried it on the front crash member.

Treat with a trim dye/sealant like C4 or Nanolex Trim Restorer. Alternatively you can respray them. You'll sincerely struggle to find a good used set,let alone new.
