Default Service light

I have just serviced my car myself. How do I get the service light turned off please?

Hi, I also read somewhere (can't see where), that the trip counter needs to display T1. (My XC90 has two trip counters T1 & T2). Mine would not reset if T2 was selected.

(Xc90:my 03).

Cheers

I have set it to T1, turned off the ignition and removed the key. Re inserted the key then pressed the trip button then turned on the ignition. The rear sensor fault comes on and stays on and on and on.

You're mixing some things here.

There is a "service reminder" that tells you to service your car once a year. That's one thing, and you can reset this reminder.

If you have a fault, a so called DTC (DiagnosticTroubleCode), you can't reset it. You can solve the cause, and if it isn't a safety relevant fault it will reset itself. If it is a safety relevant fault, you need VIDA (or something similar) to reset that fault.
